Witness: Katrina
Opening reception for Photowork '09 at the Barrett Art Center, juried by Malcolm Daniel, Curator of Photographs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The photograph on the wall, awarded First Place by Mr. Daniel, is from my series "Witness: Katrina." The images were taken in the Lower Ninth Ward, New Orleans. Some were taken in 2006, one year after Katrina; others in 2008, three years after.
